New to Devonport? Click here useful contacts & information

I am here to work with community members, groups, and organizations, and to help them in any way I can:

  • work with individuals/groups/organizations to help them identify their needs, gain access to resources, and meet their needs
  • link community groups so they can share resources and help each other
  • be an advocate for the community
  • plan community activities, such as Preschool Mornings, Summer Athletics, Treasure Hunt etc
  • facilitate the Devonport Youth Forum and support ongoing youth initiatives such as Devonstock.

Families in Parks Events (all free)

  • Pre-School Mornings
This is a fun time for pre-schoolers to play with lots of toys (which we supply) and for parents to meet each other. Bring a cup of coffee and enjoy our wonderful parks! The venues are Windsor Reserve, Devonport on Tuesdays and Bayswater Park, Bayswater on Thursdays, 9.30-11am (cancelled if raining).
  • Athletics
Primary & Intermediate aged kids have fun with athletic challenges such as high jumps, long jumps, sprint races, and novelty races. There will be competitive events and certificates on the final night. Food and drinks for sale.
  • Youth Concerts
Join us for 'Devonstock' at the new venue of Windsor Reserve (2016 date TBA)

Devonport Community eNews
Our monthly eNews covering local events and happenings for the coming month is issued at the end of each proceeding month. If you would like to receive a copy, please email me (address is above) and I will put you on my database. Submissions for eNews are welcomed and are needed approximately 2 weeks before issue date.

New Residents Coffee/Wine
Meetings are held once a month (not in January or February) at the Devonport Community House on Clarence Street. Join us for morning tea at 10:30am or evening drinks at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to meet other newcomers, and to have questions answered about preschools, clubs, and many other aspects of Devonport Peninsula life.

Devonport Youth Forum
Any High School student is welcome at these monthly meetings. They are a place where young people can share views and ideas. We usually meet at 3 Victoria Rd, above the i-site centre. We serve pizza and soft drinks. Members of the Youth Forum have initiated some of our community events, such as Devonstock.

Community Network Meetings
Our quarterly Community Network Meetings are a great opportunity for representatives from community groups, schools, preschools, businesses, sport clubs, etc. to get together and share information with each other. Meetings are held at the Devonport library.
